How to find everything we know so far about Neuralink

Yesterday morning at 4am, Elon Musk’s Neuralink ran a press conference to reveal what they’d been up to for the past two years. This startup has probably the loopiest mission of any of Elon’s businesses (and this includes the one whose mission is to build a civilisation on Mars), but it’s been shrouded in mystery for almost the whole time since it was founded.

Uber-blogger and lucky duck Tim Urban who writes the incredible wait but why blog was invited to speak to Elon about Neuralink’s mission about two years ago. He then wrote one of the barmiest and most fascinating blog posts of the year. We then didn’t hear anything about what they’ve been up to until yesterday. Some people spotted that the paper “The Sewing Machine for Minimally Invasive Neural Recording” published on BioRxiv in mid-March featured writers from Neuralink’s team, but the Neuralink website was still just a terse list of job vacancies.

So I was absolutely getting out of bed at 03:55 to watch Musk and the boys pull the curtains back on what they’d been up to (note to future self, Musk always starts these things at least 30 mins late).
You can watch the livestream here.
